Private legal practitioner, Lawyer Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, has made a bold declaration concerning the ongoing election petition at the Supreme Court. In what he described as a failed petition, he has descended heavily on the Lead Counsel for Mahama, Tsatsu Tsikata over his attempts to get the proceedings delayed. According to the Lawyer, he's optimistic that the final judgement will be delivered to vindicate the first Respondent.

During Day 10 of the hearing of the petition, the third witness of the petitioner, Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo filed his witness statement to testify on behalf of Mahama. Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo who was one of the two agents in the National Collation StrongRoom is putting his credibility on the line to testify and defend Mr. Mahama on his claims of rigging in the elections.

In the last hearing, Mr. Rojo who is the third witness after Asiedu Nketia and Kpessa Whyte was interviewed via video call on his 32-paragraphed witness statement. Backed by the Lawyer for EC, Akoto Ampaw and Lawyer Amenuvor joined forces praying the Court to dismiss about 23 of the arguments raised in the statement. The court unanimously dismissed 4 of the objected paragraphs and postponed hearing to Monday February 8, 2021.Speaking in a phone interview on Asempa FM's Ekosiisen show, Lawyer Baffuor Awuah praised Akoto Ampaw for his effort to get 4 paragraphs of Rojo's statement struck out by the Panel. He described it as a great win for the 2nd Respondent's team.

"They were being criticised for intentionally attempting to delay the Court's proceedings. They have now rebranded and adopted a different strategy through many witnesses. This will also fail. I don't believe Akoto Ampaw is not happy. He has dashed Mahama and Tsatsu Tsikata's hope. At least, Akoto Ampaw will be happy for getting 4 paragraphs dismissed."
