The camp of the ruling New Patriotic Party has hit with another sad news as the parliamentary candidate for Yapei Gushiegu, Mr. Abu Kamara has been reported dead. Reports from myjoyonline says that the the parliamentary candidate was involved in a ghastly accident last night around 10 PM when returning from election campaign.
It wasn't long ago that the honorable member of Parliament for the people of Mfantseman Hon Ekow Quansah was reported to be shot dead through a robbery attack when he was also returning from elections campaign at his constituency in the night.
The third incident was the accident involving the NPP National organizer, Mr. Sammy Awuku on the Koforidua stretch of the Kumasi-Accra road which also occurred around 9 pm in the night.
Following this recent trend in the camp of the NPP, Mr. Thomas Kusi Boafo who is the head of Public Sector Reforms has come out today to give a very important advice to the front liners of the NPP in this year's campaign. He hinted that the NPP should expect more of this tragic news of armed robbery attacks and road accidents involving their member of Parliament as well as their parliamentary candidate should they continue to travel at night time.
He made this statement live on Wontumi television's program, 'State of Ghana' today. He added the NPP should desist from the habit of travelling at night during this elections period, since travelling at night time allows your political perpetrators both within and outside your party to execute their evil plans.
He concluded, more of these tragedy could continue until the December elections if the parliamentary candidates do not advise themselves and quit travelling around this time of the night.
