The New Patriotic Party is making preparations to host its primaries in 2023 to decide who leads the party into the 2024 general elections. Alan Kyeremateng is said to be in the race with the current Vice President, Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia in leading the party in to the elections and many people are chipping in their advise to both parties.
Media consultant, Mr. Raymond Ablorh has urged the camp of Alan Kyeremanteng not to accept any proposal from the Vice President in the upcoming delegate conference in relation with the NASARA reforms which will fetch Bawumia more votes in the primaries.
The reforms of the NASARA committee is that, they will be going to the polls as well as changing the position of the committee from coordinating to organising. This will give Bawumia the upper hand to secure more votes from his Islamic members of they are allowed to go to the polls meanwhile at first, they were not allowed to partake in the elections.
This proposal from the Vice President is steered towards helping him secure more votes in the zongo’s and Islamic communities which in a way will shut Alan Kyeremanteng’s dream.
