The IGP together with the director of national security Albert Kandapaa disclosed that over 60,000 security personnels are set to be deployed to the various polling stations across the country to ensure violence free elections come December 7.
However, this security personnels have not been captured by the Electoral Commission in the special voting list which created confusion among some political parties as the commission is planning to cheat in the election.
Speaking at a press briefing at the NDC headquarters Mr Afriyie Ankrah, director of elections, NDC stated that this information got to their office through an independent security analyst Adam Bona. Ankrah said their office also did a follow up and found out that it was true.
MD Ankrah said that the government is planning with the Electoral Commission to use vigilantic groups at the various polling stations rather than using security personnels.
So they are therefore appealing to the Electoral Commission to take a second look into the matter and even paste the names of the security personnels to be deployed for the election so as to conduct free and fair election.
