John Mahama Storms Asomdwee Park With Simple Message To Koku Anyidoho

Today, Sunday, July 24, 2022 is exactly 10 years since the passing of former President John Evans Atta Mills. Even before today, there had been so much controversy regarding the burial grounds of the former leader. Koku Anyidoho, a former aide to Atta Mills had launched an attack on the NDC and John Mahama for neglecting the burial site of the former president.

The NDC also returned the gesture with Samuel Atta Mills and Nii Lante Vanderpuye leading the charge to verbally accuse Koku for acting without consent from the Mills family. Well, the NDC led by John Mahama also organized their own memorial service for Atta Mills today at the Asomdwee Park. While speaking, John Mahama extolled the good qualities of Atta Mills and maintained that there is none as peaceful as him among the presidents of the Fourth Republic.

John Mahama then turned his attention to Koku Anyidoho, who had throughout this week been firing the former for neglecting the burial grounds of John Atta Mills. John Mahama noted that Koku and others while trying to eulogize Atta Mills has dragged the name of the former president into the mud. He wondered why Koku will act without support from the family of John Atta Mills. He lambasted Koku for taking advantage of the Atta Mills legacy for his own advantage. He called an end to this embarrassment on the name of the Mills family.

John Mahama also sent a bold message to President Akufo-Addo. He questioned the rationale behind the Akufo-Addo government blaming the NDC for the economic struggles of the country. He noted that the people of Ghana gave the mandate of leadership to the NPP under Akufo-Addo and so the president needs to fix the country instead of blaming others.
