Akufo Addo Reacted To Torgbui Fiti In That Manner Because He No Longer Needs Our Votes

Nobody in Ghana at the moment needs to be told that, the incumbent President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo do not care whether his government does better or not. It is high time that Ghanaians have realized that, politicians only come down to our level when they needs our votes but immediately they get power then everything changes especially when they are in their last term of office.

The current news circulating everywhere in Ghana clearly confirm the above claim. The news is about the President of the republic of Ghana telling an ordained and legally accepted Paramount chief in the country to continue a governmental project if he feels frustrated.

The President, his Excellency President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo on Thursday speaking on Kokroko a morning Program on Accra-based radio station, Peace FM told the Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V that if he feels frustrated about the government not being able to continue the the abandoned E-block community day senior high school in his area then he should complete it himself.

This statement from the President on the Peace FM was revealed when the host Kwame Sefa Kayi told the President that, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V has given the government and the minister of education four months to complete the abandoned E block community day senior high school in his his traditional area.

The President might have felt that, the Chief had no authority to give the minister of education such ultimatum. And he even asked the host if he is the one to give the Minister such ultimatum?

All these questioning and statement made by the President look very different from how the President normally speaks with the chiefs in the country. As a matter of fact if President Nana Addo was in opposition and seeking for power he wouldn't have told the chief what he said this morning.

Also, even during his 2020 campaign, if the President was asked this exact question he wouldn't have dated to tell the Paramount Chief of Aflao to go and complete the project himself because he needed the votes of the people but currently our votes cannot not cause any change. He is already the President and he is already in his second term of office.

This clearly tells Ghanaians that, as electorates our power to choose a leader end right after an election. Besides no Political Party candidate in Ghana would ever tell a chief in a particular area to complete a particular project if he feels frustrated that the project is abandoned.
