The honorable member of Parliament for the people of Effiduase Asokore in the Ashanti region, hon. Nana Afriyie has compared the people behind the #FixTheCountry protest as people who are okay in life and making merry after taking some bottles of cold beer.
"They sit here in the capital city eat, get full and walk on their tarred roads screaming fix the country. They should come to my constituency and see for themselves the kind if transformation that has taken place here", he uttered to show the development taking place in his constituency.
Speaking live on Wontumi TV's morning show program, Hon. Nana Ayew Afriyie advised the conveners of the #fixthecountry campaign to conduct a proper research before criticizing the government of the day. He urged them not to carry their research basing their evidence and facts only on the capital, Accra for Ghana is not Accra and Accra is not Ghana.
He described those calling for Ghana to be fixed as mainly those residing in Accra specifically East legon where things are normal. He added they have little or no information about what the government is doing in most deprived communities.
