Abu Jinapor of NPP wins Damongo Constituency seat, as he unseats Adam Mutawakilu of NDC.

Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor, The Deputy Chief of Staff at the Presidency has won the Parliamentary election in the Damongo Constituency of the Savannah Region.

Mr. Jinapor polled 15,671 votes out of 29,237 votes to defeat the incumbent National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament, Mr Adam Mutawakilu who also had 13,330 out of the 29,237 votes casted.

One can actually see the gap the Deputy Chief of Staff gave the incumbent Member of Parliament.

An independent candidate who also contested for the seat in the area called, David Tiki Dange also polled 296 votes out of the total, 29,237.

A total number of 29,150 valid votes were casted in the Parliamentary election with about 499 votes were been rejected.

Another win for the New Patriotic Party and a good news too, as the Deputy chief of Staff wins a Parliamentary seat in addition to his title.
