Paul Adom Otchere Reveals Who John Mahama Is Tipping To Win NDC Party Chairmanship Race

The race for the NDC primaries is coming so fast. There will be tight battles for the various positions that will be for grabs. The quest for who will lead the party in the form of flagbearer is becoming clear. It is obvious that former President John Mahama will stand again as a contender. He might however face tight competition from other candidates like Spio Gabrah and Kwabena Duffour. It is uncertain though if John will go uncontested, but even if he contested, he might win a landslide victory.

Other positions will see the battle for who becomes General Secretary for the party. Many rumor that Johnson Asiedu Nketia will drop that position and climb higher. The vacancy will see Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Fiifi Kwetey, former MP for Ketu South battle it out. Many see Elvis as a representative for the Mills faction and Hon. Kwetey, a Mahama candidate.

For the position of Chairman of the party will be Asiedu Nketia coming up against incumbent chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo. This is expected to be the mother of all contest. Paul Adom Otchere however envisages that the John Mahama favorite among the 2 personalities will carry the day. He notes that Johnson Asiedu Nketia has done so much for the NDC for him to merit a position as Chairman of the biggest opposition.

“There is my good friend, Johnson Asiedu Nketia. Asiedu Nketia deserves it considering all that he has done for the party. However, he will have to contend with Ofosu Ampofo, another cadre and for MP and Minister. That contest is also placed in a John Mahama and a non-John Mahama camp. Johnson Asiedu Nketia is the John Mahama candidate for the chairmanship. He looks likely to win” Paul explained.
