Social media influencer who happens to be one of the conveners of "Fixthecountry" demo, Fiifi Asiedu Mends has claimed that they (Organisers of the Demonstration) are not seeking for money. He made this claim on Atinka TV this morning, Friday, 7th May, 2021.
The host of the programme quizzed him about whether they are politically motivated. He said, "If wanted money, we would organised would have organised it just before the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections. No political is directing us. Our aim is not political".
He further stated the there are a number of things the government has tackle before the citizens follow suit. He said, " I am student. I would undertake my National Service very soon. The government should do something about the NSS payment. They should increase the allowance from GHC 559.
In the interim, the Greater Accra Regional Police Headquarters has been able to secure a court order to restrain the demonstration from taking place.
