The former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama paid a visit to Mamprugu Traditional Area (TA) today, 18th of August 2021. He was in company with His running mate, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and some other National Democratic Congress (NDC) officials. After missing out on winning the 2020 Presidential elections, the former President thought it wise to visit his fans and the NDC party supporters to thank them for their votes during the 2020 elections. With this purpose in mind, the John Mahama visited the Overlord of the Mamprugu Traditional Area, Naa Bohigu Abdullai Mahami Sheriga, and thanked him and his chiefs for the support they received from his people during the election. He also thanked them for electing the NDC parliamentary candidate for the area, Yagaba-Kubori.
After the ''thank you'' visit to Mamprugu, a town in the North East Region of Ghana, the former President posted pictures of his tour on his official Facebook page. The post was met with a lot of reactions from his fans, supporters of NDC, and non-supporters. The comments suggest that a vast number of people will want John Dramani Mahama to be back as President whilst a small portion of the commenters think otherwise.
