Meet the Ghanaian Anglican Pastor Who is Also a Trade Advisor to the President of the United States

Rev. Akua Ofori is an Anglican priestess, but also very instrumental in the secular world. Accroding to her, Jesus never secluded himsel from the people, but was always with them dealing with their pain, confusion, disappointment and all. The whole essence of Christianity is to make positive impacts in the lives of the people, and not just separate oneself in a secluded place.

The woman of God had her first degree in Physics at the time when she was seeking to becoming a medical doctor. However somewhere along the line, she realized that Medicine was not her thing, so she diverted into Mechanical Engineering.

She later did an MBA and once worked with the BORST as general manager. Currently, she is the Director of Programmes for he Accra Diocese of the Anglican Church, working directly with the presiding bishop to undertake all his programmes.

Speaking in an interview with Zion Felix, Rev. Akua Ofori recounted how she became trade advisor to the president of the United States. According to her, a member of her church who happens to be working with the United States Embassy paved the way for her. That member once came to inform her of a position in the US government that he wanted her to fill. The United States government was looking for a young African to advise them on how to trade in Africa.

She continued that most of the members on the board did not reside in Africa, and so they wanted someone who was living on the continent. And so she was called to the US embassy to present her CV and provide her personal information in a 60-page document.

The woman of God noted that the young man recommended her for the position because he found her to be diligent in every thing she did. She always wanted things done on time and on point. She being a preacher does not hold her congregants for too long; she closes on time. She is a kind of person who doesn't postpone what can be done today. These and many other values landed her that position in the US government.

She noted that she has been serving on the board for the past three years, which means she served under Donald Trump, and now Joe Biden. Diligence indeed pays. What do you also say about this? Kindly drop your views in the comments section.
