The internal wrangling within the opposition NDC has reached the various grassroots and everyone seems to be voicing out their concerns over the crises that are taking shape in the party. Yesterday saw a tilting point when Okudzeto Ablakwa resigned from the appointments committee on grounds of ‘principle’.
Today, April 1, 2021 on Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosii Sen’ Anita De Souza to the conversation and has thrown harsh words at Chief Biney, the Deputy National Organizer of the NDC and Dr. Hanna Bissiw, the Women’s National Organizer.
“I want to sound a strong warning that we don’t want people who have no time for the party or now about to marry. If you want to marry, do so before you join as an executive and no more aspiring MPs as executive. We are going with JDM in 2014 whether he loves it or not. All the detractors should join JDM because if he hasn’t finished his tenure no one else will come. We are also going with Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang. Those are the only people we know.
People like Hannah Bissiw betrayed the party. She had no time for the party as Women’s organizer because she wanted to win as MP. Chief Biney was also a disappointment and even went to marry someone from the NPP, which was unfortunate. We need changes in the party” Anita De Souza said.
She called for change in the leadership of the NDC in Parliament as this was the head of all the crises. She added that this was the time to revamp the party and bring back the party’s image. In a sharp reaction, Chief Biney called off the bluff of Anita, "She should go and drink sobolo and sleep".
