8 pm Last night, as President Akufo-Addo was addressing the nation on updates on Covid-19, social media users were horrified about what a lady told the President.
A social media user identified as Sara Osei angrily insulted the President and commanded him to do one thing: to fix the nation. On Facebook, Sara wrote; Fixthecountry old fool.
This comment took social media users by surprise. Many Ghanaians expressed their dissatisfaction with her attitude while others too praised her for insulting a man who is old enough to be her father or grandfather.
Folkxhub investigated the age of the lady- Sara Osei. Surprisingly, she was born on June 13, 1984. That makes her only 37 years old. However, the President is 77 years old. So, mathematically, the President is 40 years older than Sara.
How can a Ghanaian lady insult a man who is 40 years older than her? What have we turned into as a nation? This is what exasperate people like Kwame Sefa Kayi. Ghanaian youths insulting leaders and people who have achieved a lot has become very prevalent lately.
Indeed, I am outraged by the act of the lady. I even have difficulty typing the word ‘lady’ to refer to her. Because ladies don’t insult, especially their elders. And please don’t get me wrong: she can criticize and express her idea but insult never made Europe and America Great.
Please, guys out there, kindly desist from such attitudes. The Bible said obey thy parents and you’ll grow old. Every old person who can birth to you is your parents. Hey, just respect everyone. It costs 0.00 Ghana cedis.
