In light of recent developments regarding the Akufo-Addo-led government turning to the IMF for a bailout, many Ghanaians have expressed varied opinions as to what has led us to our current predicament as a country.
One of such opinions was shared by Journalist of the year laurel winner, Manasseh Azure Awuni. He expressed the opinion that the NPP is currently facing the predicament of going to the IMF Due to the lack of leadership in the party.
"The NPP does not lack the competence to manage our economy. It lacks leadership." - he shared on his Twitter Timeline.
He followed up with a second tweet to buttress his earlier tweet which read; "A president who can't reshuffle his ministers and can't sack a minister who has vacated her post for over a year is not a leader."
His tweets within a couple of hours have received thousands of likes and reactions. Some seem to agree with Manasseh's assessment, while others hold the opinion that the NPP lacks both competence and leadership.
Does the NPP have competence but lacks leadership, or lacks both, or has both? Share your opinions in the comments section below.
