The Speaker of Parliament has once again blamed the Majority for the current bad happenings in parliament. Speaking at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Workshop, he made it known that, the decision by both the majority and minority to gather their numbers and vote on the E-levy is not the best way to go. He further explained that a concensus needs to be built to ensure harmony in the house of parliament.
"The only way is to get the two sides to consult and dialogue with each other, to corporate, to compromise and to collaborate to achieve a concensus in the house of parliament. This is an imperative imposed on us political leaders by the people of Ghana" said Bagbin.
He continued by saying, "so when the other side fails to gather their numbers and a decision does not favour them, the speaker can't be the cause. I am not a member of parliament in Ghana".
What is your position on this statements made by the Speaker of Parliament.
