Ministry of Finance on 21th May 2021 has released a disclaimer which is dated 20th May 2021and issued by the public relations unit to alert the public on the ongoing cyber frauds.
It is believed that some people are allegedly using fake social media accounts in the name of the Minister of Finance Hon. Ken. Ofori-Atta.
The Ministry in a press release has made it clear that the Minister is not using any of the social media accounts talking of WeChat, Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.
According to the ministry, their attention has been drawn to several social media accounts which are using the of the minister.
The Ministry further advises the general public to refrain from following many social media accounts bearing the name of the minister.
"The general public is therefore urged to disregard any of these social media handles bearing the name of @Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, @Ken Ofori-Atta, @Ken Ofori Atta, @KenOfori_Atta or any other such handles". They stated
The Ministry also urged the general public to follow the official Facebook and Twitter accounts of the Ministry.
