4 Promises Made By Mahama That Confirms The Claims That The NDC Copied The NPP Manifesto

Manifestos have remained a salient element in the electoral process and governance of many democratic states including Ghana. Manifestos presents parties’ positions on issues and how they intend to address the problems of voters in the lead-up to elections. It also provides the voters with the options to make their decisions.

As a result of the undaunted role manifestos play in the electoral and governance process of Ghana, unearthing the processes through which political parties arrive at their manifestos is timely and imperative.

Last month, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on launched its election 2020 manifesto with a promise to provide a leadership of service to transform the country forever.

There were many critics on the NDC party after they postponed their manifesto lunch, the NPP reacting to that issue said that, Mahama wanted to copy their manifesto to do their own that's why they postponed their date.

The NDC have finally lunched their manifesto and it seems what the NPP was saying that they wanted to copy them is true . Below are similar or the same promises made by both NPP and NDC.

NPP

We will provide all such students, with the exception of teacher and nurse trainees who are paid allowances, an option to obtain a student loan: • without the requirement of a guarantor for the loan, provided he or she has a National Identification Number from the GhanaCard.

NDC

We promise abolish the requirement of guarant or sasapre-condition for accessing student loans to enable more students who need financial assistance access the loan

2. NPP

NDC

NDC

The National Democratic Congress also promised to pay the nursing and teacher trainee allowance
