Veteran journalist, Kwesi Pratt has expressed surprise and worry at the choice of traditional regalia which Alban Bagbin chose to clad himself. According to him, this time was not the best time for Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin to wear that outfit which had elements of gold and others.
"We have been talking loudly about the modesty of public officials. All these talks about huge Presidential convoys are all related to the modesty of public officials. Then the Speaker of Parliament chooses a dress code which has nothing to do about the promotion of modesty", he explained.
The host of the show, Randy Abbey questioned Kwesi Pratt to mention which part of the dressing of Speaker Bagbin was extravagant.
Kwesi Pratt explained that the headbands and chains all had the appearance of gold. He explained that although they did not contain gold, they symbolized a lifestyle of extravagance. According to Kwesi Pratt, he was very shocked.
