Ghanaians have angrily told President Nana Akufo-Addo that he should not claim glory for someone's work after commissioning Pokuase interchange which has been a debate amongst Ghanaians all years when former President, John Dramani Mahama left office in 2016.
Many have said that President Nana Akufo-Addo should have acknowledged former President, John Dramani Mahama as the person who started the project but saying that Mahama initiated 3 tier footbridge and he rather initiated 4 tier footbridge and save a lot of money for the country is not what they expected from him. Ghanaians who commented under President Nana Akufo-Addo's social media post to announce the completion of the project are not happy with him and said that they know that it's John Mahama who needed the credit for the interchange Built.
Some people explained that if John Dramani Mahama who is tagged as "incompetent" president was not able to birth these project, they wonder what the competent one who is Nana Akufo-Addo, could have done by now. Some people stated that the president does not need to go and Commission the project and waste taxpayers money again.
Someone reacted that: Sorry your excellency Mr President, you should have said, I commissioned the 4 tier pokuase interchange, which was an idea, dream and a project, which was birthed by the former incompetent president, Mr JM. Don't claim glory for someone's work please. If the incompetent president was able to birth these project, I wonder what the competent one like you, should have done by now. "Please start paying assembly members and their wives too because I want be an assembly member. I want my wife to start enjoying early before I become a president, so that the back pay will grow to 5000 billions thousand dollars cedis" he added.
Another Ghanaian stated: I just wanna simply say this thank you very much for the good work you have done to Ghana and Ghanaians. Such a developing schools, hospitals, banks, markets, and roads. The legacy will remain for ever. The humble and kindness leader former President John Dramani Mahama. THANK YOU TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT President NANA ADDO.
Someone said that: I wonder if Emmanuel Macron, Joe Biden etc will go out in a convoy to commission any project. Wasting resources is what our leaders know. Somebody cuts sod, another person comes in to cut a sod on the same project with all the fan fair and then another goes to commission it. Such a useless venture. Protecting the public purse indeed.
"You are an ungrateful creature. There is no sense of honesty and humility left in you. Future president will treat you with equal measure how ungrateful you have been to your predecessors. At age 76 the youth of Ghana still can't learn the common values of truthfulness and humility from you" someone jabbed Nana Akufo-Addo.
Someone stated that: God bless you Mr. President but this doesn't change the fact that we bore you. You have really done well if all past president were to continue unfinished projects previous government couldn't finished before leaving office nka Ghana won't be in this mess like this.
