"My Gov't Is Doing Well; Please Pray For Us" – President Akufo-Addo Tells Ghanaians

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at the centenary anniversary of the Ash Town Seventh Day Adventist Church in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 has said that he believes unequivocally that his NPP led government is doing pretty well since his flagship policies and programmes are taking roots and have started bearing fruits in all sectors of the economy.

Speaking to the congregation on Saturday, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo recounted that the flagship policies and programmes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government initiated in 2017 has made Ghana far better than he came to meet it. He said that his primary goal of raising the living standard of Ghanaians is on course and he won't relent at any step of the way.

He said that after his first term in office, his achievements were very visible for all Ghanaians to see and that was why the good people of the country reposed their confidence in him by voting massively for him for another four years to continue the good works and bear much fruits.

Quoting a popular passage from the Bible, that is Jeremiah 12:2, which says "You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit", he told congregants at the Church that "likewise, the policies and programmes being implemented by my government have taken root, they are growing, and they are bearing fruit".

President Nana Akufo-Addo has said that he is absolutely sure that no parent or guardian remains in this country who has not had his child or ward or even relative enjoyed the Free Senior High School policy. He said that this flagship policy has helped Ghanaians across the length and breath of the country. NABCo, one village one damn, one district one factory, planting for food and jobs, are among others.

He also said that he perfectly understands why Ghanaians are crying for more better things because they can see more room for improvement and prosperity. And he and his government are bent on making Ghana progressive and prosperous by delivering quality and honest works.

"Pray for me and my government that more grace and strength be granted to us so that we can deliver up to task," he told the congregants.
