The nightmare that embraced the New Patriotic Party in the 2020 elections is enough evidence pointing to the fact, there shouldn't be room for errors ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Prior to the 2020 general elections when the Party's incumbent MP for Fomena constituency swerved the Npp, contested and won as an independent candidate, One would be in a good position to ask if the The new patriotic Party is working hard and not positioning itself for the recurrence of such unfortunate incident.
But, It wouldn't be substantial to immediately judge the hard work of the NPP without considering the just ended constituency elections. Ghanaians, party delegates and delegates aspirants are carefully monitoring what would unfold in some key constituencies in other to make a skirt and blouse voting decision.
Two key constituencies of the Npp, Sunyani East and Jaman South have not elected their leaders due to legal issues (court case) but aspiring delegates for such constituencies, Sunyani East to be precise are very furious and in a confused state, threatening to vote against the incumbent MP, honourable Ameyaw Cheremeh provided he doesn't open up for free and fair elections.
Aspiring delegates were thrown into a shocking state on Sunday 1st April 2022 when news popped up that the Sunyani East constituency has already elected their leaders for the various positions whilst the court of law had already placed injunction on the elections in the constituency till the court passes it's verdict.
They expressed concern that if the right thing is not done, then the constituency will experience skirt and blouse voting.
As it stands now, there hasn't been any valid election. The constituency still awaits court decision.
Delegates have threatened, if National holds onto this dubious election by the incumbent MP, the the Elephant will suffer a skirt and blouse.
