The majority leader of parliament Hon Osei Kyei Mensa Bonsu has said that his comments on replacing president Akufo Addo with Bawumia and making Alan Kwadwo kyeremanteng a running mate is to shame the flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, there has been an assertion that the New Patriotic Party is an Akan party and the national democratic Congress is a multitribal party but this year they want to prove to critics that the party is not an Akan party by making Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng a Running Mate to Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, who is a northerner.
Speaking in an interview this morning, the Suame member of parliament indicated that the constitution of Ghana requires political parties operate in at least two-thirds of the district in the country
Meanwhile his assertion was received with a lot of backlashes from Ghanaians because his comments seek to project Dr Mahamadu Bawumia as the flagbearer and Hon Alan Kwadwo kyeremanteng as the running mate.
