One of the most thinking amongst the people of Wenchi is that the new MCE appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo may not get 100% endorsement from the Wenchi Municipal Assembly but the shocking news that popped up was that, Hon Alexander Obuor Damoah got 100% votes from the august house.
Both NDC and NPP party members in the Municipality are congratulating the new MCE for his confirmation and prayed for him to unify Wenchi with massive development as promised by him and president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Leading to that Presiding member of the Municipality, Hon Samuel Mensah has shared with Ghanaians that he led the Wenchi Municipal Assembly as the Presiding Member to confirm the president's nominee for the MCE position in the person of Hon Alexander Obour Damoah, and confirmed that "the house gave him 100% endorsement" because of unity amongst them.
He expressed that in attendance were the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Owusu Bandahene, the Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye, Hon Alhaj Seidu Haruna MP for Wenchi, Hon Ahmed Ibrahim MP for Banda, Acting president Wenchi traditional council, the chief Imam, chairman Christian council and other dignitaries.
According to him, the 100% endorsement is the second time under his leadership as the Presiding Member of the Assembly as he did it in 2017 respectively.
"I will like to express my appreciation to the house for this overwhelming endorsement. Let us continue to support the new MCE Hon Alexander Obour Damoah to move Wenchi forward in the spirit of unity" the presiding member added.
