Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team member and founder of the National Liberation Congress Stephen Atubiga has hailed Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a credible Northerner who is as pure as Jesus Christ in heaven.
His defense of Dr Bawumia's credibility comes at a time when Dr Bawumia is under fire after it was revealed that Charles Adu Boahen, Minister of State in Charge of Finance (sacked today), informed Tiger Eye PI investigators that Dr Bawumia was willing to accept money to facilitate their investment interests in the country.
While some people appear to think that Dr. Bawumia's credibility has been damaged by the investigations, Mr. Atubiga thinks Dr. Bawumia is still totally innocent.
“Dr Bawumia is as clean as Jesus in heaven. He is one of our credible Northerners still stall tall,” he posted on social media.
Meanwhile, following discoveries of Mr Adu-influence Boahen's peddling, the President fired him.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, meanwhile, has said that his honesty is a priceless commodity that he has worked hard to develop over the years.
Since his integrity remains his greatest asset, he has since given notice that he won't permit others to utilize his name in corrupt ways.
Dr. Bawumia responded quickly on his Facebook page on Monday, following allegations by Anas Aremeyaw Anas that a Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Charles Adu Boahen, had solicited $200,000 from investors in order for him (Adu Boahen) to broker a meeting with the Vice President.
Dr. Bawumia, widely regarded as one of the most decent politicians in the country, lashed out at the Minister's alleged behavior on Facebook, adding that he was not aware of any such dealing by the Minister.
