There Is No Majority Party In Parliament Now : Alban Bagbin Sends Message To The NPP MPs

Today, Right Honorable Alban Sumana Bagbin made an interesting comment about the majority status of Parliament before adjourning the house. This was in reaction to the fewer NPP MPs in Parliament getting to the end of the Parliamentary proceedings. In contrast, the NDC MPs were at parliament in their numbers.

Reacting to that fact, Alban Bagbin stated emphatically that the NPP MPs were showing signs that they are not in majority. He compared the two groups and made a direct conclusion that the NDC has the majority number.

" I keep on referring to you people as majority caucus. But clearly, when you look ahead of you, you must see you are no longer in majority. You have not learned your lessons in this matter. Just look at your number here and the number there and tell me who is in the majority."

Alban Bagbin later educated the NPP MPs on why they were given that status, majority caucus.

"I decide to call you majority group because the independent member agreed to do business with you. However, there is no majority party in this parliament now but rather, there is a majority group. As a result of that, we have minority",he explained.
