Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Allotey Jacobs has claimed that there should be Politics of Ghana first, before any other political interest. He said this on Asempa FM's current affairs programme Ekosii Sen this evening, 14th April, 2021.
He said everything has turned into politics and punishing wrongdoers has become problematic. He then stated categorically that some state institutions should be made defunct.
He sighted the Ghana Highway Authority as a typical example as he believes that, the Authority should be blamed for the numerous road accidents which have killed not less than seven hundred (700) since the turn of the year.
Allotey Jacobs said, "They have good engineers but do not work deligently to ensure that Ghana gets value for money roads"
According Mr Allotey Jacobs, Ghanaian should be devoid of partisan politics in order to bring discipline back into this country. People who flaunt the laws are not punished just because the politics we endulge ourselves in.
He said, "anytime a leader inteds to take drastic decision for the benefit of the whole country, the people will tell him will vote against you for your action. Those little politics impede the development of our country".
