Apologize To Ghanaians For The Economic Mismanagement - Okudzeto Ablakwa To Government

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu in the Volta Region has said the Akufo-Addo led administration should apologize to Ghanaians for economic mismanagement.

Okudzeto Ablakwa in a post on Twitter shared on Monday, July 4, 2022 has given government options if it doesn't want its IMF crisis communication strategy to backfire.

According to the North Tongu MP, government should first 'stop collecting the unconstitutional and obnoxious E-Levy'.

Also, Government should apologize to Ghanaians for the economic mismanagement and the blatant falsehood that 'they won’t seek an IMF bailout'.

Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa writes;

"If govt doesn’t want its IMF crisis communication strategy to backfire as it is appearing, it should first:

STOP collecting the unconstitutional & obnoxious E-Levy;

Apologise to Ghanaians for the economic mismanagement & the blatant falsehood that they won’t seek an IMF bailout"

It will be recalled that this current government made a vow not to go to the IMF for bailout sometime back. However, President Akufo-Addo has directed the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta to commence formal engagements with IMF, inviting the Fund to support an economic program put together by the Government of Ghana.
