"This is the shame of what policy incoherence and failure looks like" - Sam George

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Dzata George, has expressed disappointment in deadline given for linking the Ghana card with individuals banks stating that "This is the shame of what policy incoherence and failure looks like."

It would be recalled that following the directive by the Bank of Ghana that all bank customers should link their Ghana card to their various bank accounts and that the old identification cards used by customers for transactions will no more be accepted by 1st, July, 2022. The various banks have taken the derective very serious urging customers to meet the deadline.

There were speculations of those without Ghana card rushing to withdraw their monies from their banks with the fear of the money being confiscated.

The NDC MP for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, has reacted to the directive describing it as a shame and an incoherence policy.

According to Sam George, "Hearing of a mad rush on the banks by people who don't have the Ghana Card to withdraw their monies. This is the shame of what policy incoherence and failure looks like," he said.

The banks are yet to give any official update on what the faith if those without Ghana card will be.
