Polls have taken off for the special voting, and here are the updates across the nation.

Voting has started nationwide and 109,577 special voters are expected to cast ballots ahead of Dec.7 polls.


Reports across the country show the special voting ahead of December 7, has started in all polling stations across the country. In this year’s exercises, a total of 109,577 voters from 12 institutions are expected to cast their ballots on Tuesday, December 1, ahead of the December 7 general election.

The institutions taking part in the special voting exercises are the personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces, National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), National Security, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, the Information Services Department, personnel of the National Ambulance Service, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Prisons Service, Ghana Journalists Association, Ghana Police Service and National Media Commission.

The special voting exercise started from 7:00am and will close at 5:00pm. Voters are made to go through all the covid-19 safety protocols before voting. 

Reports coming out, from across the nation shows the exercise has so far been smooth and peaceful.
