Today, Paul Adom Otchere, now Bard Chairman of Ghana Airport Company Limited, took his show, Good Evening Ghana to a different level. This time, he gave a precise editorial on Kwame Nkrumah's life as we celebrate the 112th anniversary of Kwame Nkrumah. He went ahead to assess the performance of Kwame Nkrumah as a President.
In the course of delivering the editorial, Kwame Nkrumah touched on some controversial issue which remains an unsettled debate; the mode through which Kwame Nkrumah became President. Paul disclosed that Kwame Nkrumah was never voted or elected as a President. However, he was appointed. He supported that claim with an article in the 1992 constitution.
"Kwame Nkrumah is hereby appointed first President of Ghana, having been chosen as such before the enactment of the constitution in a Plebiscite conducted in accordance with the principle set out in Article one of the constitution. Thus, nobody elected Kwame Nkrumah as President. He was appointed", Paul Adom Otchere.
