The finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta has been under the spectacles of critical citizens since after he was flown outside the country to receive treatments as a result of Covid19 complications. Due to that, he wasn't available in person to read the 2021 budget in parliament.
He has been away from the public eye for sometime now, until recently, he was spotted with a somewhat bloated figure, much different from the person we know.
This sparked rumors about his deteriorating health, and since then, rumors about his resignation hasn't stopped coming up, with the latest of such rumors being today.
To settle the issue, and let the sleeping dog lie, the Ministry of Finance has finally come out with a statement concerning the status of the Minister.
In the statement issued today, 5th October 2021, is has been stated emphatically, that there is no truth in the rumours. The Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta Is At Post.
Thus, this statement puts to sleep all rumors speculating about the resignation of the Finance Minister.
