The member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honorable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has openly shown interest in the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party, NPP but the flagbearership race is the party is getting tougher, since all the competitors seem perfect for the position.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has eight years experience in the leadership of the country thus it is believed that, he can lead the NPP to victory, come Election 2024. Honorable Alan Kyerematen has a lot of experience in governance hence, it is believed that he is also fit for the job.
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong was not anticipated to compete for the leadership of the NPP for election 2024, but he surprisingly pulled out. For many Ghanaians, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong will be a good opponent for the former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama due to his principles, discipline, generosity and loyalty.
Taking a look at the nature of most Ghanaians now, we need a leader who speaks the truth, transparent, generous and thinks about the welfare of its citizens. Kennedy Agyapong as a member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency has these records to his merits and thus, he can lead the NPP to victory when made to lead the party.
Despite the positive sides of Kennedy Agyapong to take him through, this thing about him is what gets people intimidated as to whether his subordinates will vote for him.
Kennedy Agyapong has already rained massive insults on his own NPP people. It can be recalled that, he has severally apologized to his people for insulting them.
Most of his subordinates can base on this and vote against Kennedy Agyapong on the ticket that, they can’t have a leader who disrespects his leaders by insulting them, when he feels they are not doing things right.
Kennedy Agyapong can be a great opponent against John Dramani Mahama, but this character of him intimidates people to make him their leader.
