Section of Social media users have described the gesture shown by the running mate of the National Democratic Congress in the 2020 general elections, Jane Naana Opoku Prempeh as misreading of the boy's letter.
Social media users digesting the boy's letter discovered that he did not actually applied for an iPad. According to the letter, the boy requested his mother to bring his iPad because they are allowed to use it in school that day.
This simply implies that, Oswald had an iPad at he which he wanted his mother to bring it to him, probably to take photos and record some memorable moments.

Fast forward, Jane Naana Opoku and others thought the boy requested his mother to buy him a an iPad for the 'Our day' and donated a brand new iPad Pro to him.
According to most of her followers on Facebook, this gesture was needless as many pupils like him are suffering in villages and learning under tree. One person asked how many desks the amount used for iPad Pro could have bought for less privileged school kids.
