Vetting of new Appointees begins tomorrow; here is the Recap of the vetting process by Parliament.

The vetting Committee of Parliament is all set to begin the vetting process of President Nana Addo’s Ministerial Appointees.


President Nana Addo has recently submitted the names of his ministerial nominees, to parliament for vetting and approvals. The Appointment Committee of Parliament, on receiving the names of the appointees, has scheduled Wednesday, 10th February 2021 to begin the vetting.

In preparations towards the vetting process, Parliament has released the timetable for the vetting of the appointees. According to the time table from parliament, the vetting will run from 10th February 2021 to 9th March, 2021.


The time table for the vetting process is as follows:


10th February, 2021.

Honourable Kwaku Agyeman Manu- Minister Designate for Health and Mr. Ken Dapaah- National Security Minister-Designate are scheduled t be vetted on 10 of January 2021. Kwaku Agyeman Manu, the Minister Designate for Health will be the first to face the vetting committee because of the increasing cases of the corona virus in the country, and will be followed by Ken Dapaah.

 

11th February, 2021.

Honourable Dominic Nitiwul- Mr. Designate for Defense and Honourable Yaw Osei Adutwum- Minister Designate for Education.


12th February, 2021.

Honourable Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu- Minister Designate Parliamentary Affairs, Godfred Dame-Attorney General and Minister designate for Justice and Honourable Ambrose Dery-Minister Designate for Interior.


15th February, 2021.

Honourable Matthew Opoku Prempeh-Minister Designate for Energy and Ms. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey-Minister Desgnate for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

 

16th February, 2021.

Honourable Kwasi Amoako-Atta,-Minster Designate for Roads and Highways, Honourable Ursula Owusu-Ekuful- minister Designate for Communications and Digitization and Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta Minister Designate for Finance, will have their turn of the vetting on 16h February, 2021.

17th February, 2021.

Honourable Ignatius Baffour Awuah- Minister Designate for Employment and Labour Relations, Honourable Dan Botwe- Minister Designate for Local Government and Rural Development and Honourable Sarah Adwoa Safo- Minister Designate for Gender, Children and Social Protection.

 

18th February, 2021.

Honourable Mavis Hawa Koomson Minister Designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development and Honourable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah-Minister Designate for Information.


19th February, 2021.

Honourable Kwaku Afriyie-Minister designate for environment, Science, technology and Innovation, and Honourable Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto- Minister Designate for Agriculture.


22nd February, 2021.

Ms. Cecilia Abena Dapaah-Minister Designate for Sanitation and Water Resources and Honourable Kwaku Ofori Asiamah- Minister Designate Road and Transport.


23rd February, 2021.

Honourable Joseph Cudjoe-Minister Designated for Public Enterprises, Honourable Freda Prempeh-Minister of State for Works and Housing, and Honourable Samuel Abdulai Jinapor-Minister Designated for land and Natural Resources.

24th February, 2021.

Honourable John Peter Amewu-Minister Designated for Railway Development, Honourable Francis Asenso Boakye-Minister Designated for Works and Housing, and Mr. Ibrahim Awal Mohammed- Minister Designated for Tourism, Arts and Culture


25th February, 2021.

Honourable Mustapha Yussif-Minister Designated for Youth and Sport, Ebenezer Kojo Kum- Minister Designate for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, and Mr.  Alan Kyeremanteng- Minister Designated for Trade and Industry.


26th February, 2021.

 Honourable Kwambena Okyere Darko mensah- Minister Designated for Western Region, Honourable Henry Quartey- Greater Accra Minister Designated, and Mr. Seth Acheampong- Minister Designated for Eastern Region.


1st March, 2021.

Mr. George Boakye- Minister Designated for Ahafo Region, Mr. Simon Osei Mensah- Minister Designated for Ashanti Region, and Ms Justina Owusu Banahene- Minister Designated for Bono Region.

 

 2nd March, 2021.

Mr. Adu Gyan- Minister Designated for Bono East Region, Mr. Justina Marigold Assan- minister Designated for Central Region, and Mr. Shani Alhassan Saibu- Minister Designated for Northern Region.

3rd March, 2021.

Mr. Yidana Zakaria- Minister Designated for North East Region, Mr. Joseph Makabu- Minister Designated for Oti Region, and Mr. Saeed Muhazu Jibri-Minister Designated for Savanna Region.

 

 4th March, 2021.

Mr. Stephen Yakubu-Minister Designated for Upper East Region, Mr. Hafiz Bin Salih, Mr. Stephen Yakubu- Minister Designated for Upper West Region, and Mr. Archibald Yao Letsa- Minister Designated for Volta Region.


9th March, 2021.

Mr. Richard Obeng- Minister Designated for Western North Region.

These nominees, after passing through the vetting process successfully, will be serving under President Nana Addo’s second term in office.
