Paul Adom Otchere, host of popular late night TV show, Good Evening Ghana has sent a message to a former NDC minister regarding certain comments she made years ago. According to Paul he has to apologize to the personality because he believes he has erred and has to do the right thing. According to Paul, Betty Mould-Iddrisu deserves some commendation for something that she told him in 2018.
Betty Mould-Iddrisu was the Minister of Education and later Minister of Justice and Attorney General under the Mill-Mahama government. Paul explained that Betty Mould in 2018 told him via texts and calls that Martin Amidu couldn’t be trusted. He noted that he had disagreed with Betty that the appointment of Martin Amidu was a step in the right direction because Martin was an NDC about to take up an appointment in another government. Betty had told Paul that Martin was not fit for the job.
Paul added that after two years he came to realize that Betty Mould actually told him the truth. He mentioned that Martin Amidu’s behavior after being appointed confirmed that the choice of him as Special Prosecutor was a wrong move. Paul called on those watching to send a message to Betty that he has eaten a humble pie and wishes to apologize on arguing with her about Martin Amidu.
It is rather interesting as to why Paul is raising this issue at such a time. Why should Paul reveal such a sensitive information if not to create more confusion within the NDC? Paul on the show sought to lambast Betty over certain comments she made about Godfred Dame. However, before hitting hard at the former Attorney General, he first tried to spill out certain chats he had shared with her and reveal her true character. It is unclear why Betty will make such comments about Martin but it is worthy to note that the latter replaced the former as A-G in 2011.
