The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has recently sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms after he boldly sent another strong message to the incumbent President, Akufo Addo over the recent #FixTheCountry demonstrations.
Today, 21st September marked the Memorial Day of the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah as most popular politicians and Ghanaians as a whole took the privilege to celebrate this day in remembrance of him.
On the other hand, some protestors led by Okatakyie Afrifa also took the privilege to boldly demonstrate against the incumbent government whilst pleading with the incumbent President to fix the country considering the series of challenges its citizens are currently facing in terms of high taxes, cost of living and just to mention but a few.
With respect to this, the Speaker of parliament in a recent video has caused massive reactions online after sharing his opinions and thoughts on the recent #FixTheCountry demonstrations currently happening in the country.
According to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin took the privilege to send another strong message to the incumbent President whilst claiming that, the youth groups like the Fix the country movement should be commended for their efforts in drawing the government’s attention to fixing the country and not rather condemned.
“In recent times in Ghana, there are some positive developments in the country that we should commend and not condemn. The formation of new groups and movements in response to the call of his Excellency the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo to Ghanaians not to be spectators but citizens in the governance of the country should be encouraged and supported by all Ghanaians. So new groups like youth in politics, youth in development, #FixTheCountryNow are all positive developments that should be encouraged and supported”, Alban Bagbin emphatically stated.
Upon Alban Bagbin’s message to the incumbent President over #FixTheCountry protest popped up, most Ghanaians took the privilege to share their immense thoughts and opinions on the alarming issue.
