Pius Hadzide 'blasted' all those who were criticizing Nana Addo over the issue. He disclosed that Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo was against homosexuality and that the only person who must be criticized is the Former President John Dramani Mahama. Pius Hadzide told Ghanaians that they should ask Mahama to explain why he was friends with a gay and went to extent of taking a photo with one.
Reacting to that statement, Murtala Mohammed stated emphatically that Mahama had stated his stance on this issue when he was president and clearly, he was against LGBTQ. Thus, he saw no reason why Pius Hadzide was still making these allegations.
