You Cannot Be A Post Elections King - Kelvin Taylor 'Angrily' Tells Otumfuo

Outspoken Ghanaian based American investigative Journalist and founder of the Loud Silence Media, Kelvin Ekow Taylor has sent a strong message to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He has told Otumfuo straight in the face that he is becoming a post election king, who only offer advises to Presidents and Ministers.

Kelvin Taylor speaking on today's edition of his televised With All Due Respect show made this statement. Kelvin Taylor was reacting to Otumfuo's message to President Nana Akuffo-Addo after he paid a courtesy call on him at his palace over the last weekend.

Recall, Akuffo-Addo stormed and his entourage stormed Asantehene's palace to visit him as part of his working visit to the Ashanti Region. Otumfuo pointed out to Akuffo-Addo that he should visit sites to check the progress of projects by himself instead of entrusting them in the hands of his Ministers. He also reposed his confidence in him to deliver his promises.

It seems this comment by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II did not go down well with Kelvin Taylor who has called on him (Otumfuo) to start criticising some of the leaders like Nana Addo who has failed woefully to deliver his promises to his Region. Kelvin Taylor posits that, the signs are clear that Akuffo-Addo deserved to be chastised by Otumfuo because of his failure to complete projects he started in the Region.

According to Kelvin Taylor, Otumfuo is being taken for granted by some of the political leaders because he does not descend on them and force them to render account of their stewardship whenever they visit his palace. He has finally called Otumfuo to step up and start to criticize politicians.

He said, "Honestly, the stool needs truth and honesty. The great Ashanti stool is for progress for your people. How does Otumfuo look at Nana Addo and cannot criticize him. You cannot be a post election king. We were expecting you to point out to him that he is failing."

He added, "Sometimes, I blame Otumfuo and the Chiefs for what is happening there because Nana cannot tell Akuffo-Addo straight in the face that he is disappointed."
