Today, Sammy Gyamfi and Yaw Buaben Asamoa joined Randy Abbey on the Good Morning Ghana show, Metro TV. As anticipated, there was an heated argument between these two great personalities from the biggest political parties in Ghana; National Democratic Congress and The New Patriotic Party. Host of the show, Randy Abbey asked Yaw Buaben Asamoa of his expectation of the mid-year budget in Parliament today. Buaben Asamoa predicted that there will be less taxes. Sammy Gyamfi also suggested that the Finance Minister should provide plans to reduce the high national debt Ghana as a country has accumulated. Reacting to this, Yaw Buaben Asamoa disclosed a disputable and arguable fact that made Sammy Gyamfi tell him in the face that he was telling lies. Check out what Yaw Buaben said.
"The IMF that the NDC allowed to manage the economy for policy credibility has endorsed Nana Addo's strategy of borrowing. The IMF has accepted that we have grown the economy back to 6% after the NDC dropped it to 3%. The President made a very fundamental statement that the entire world has adopted. He said that, "We can always grow the economy back but we couldn't bring dead people back. Most Presidents used that strategy. Joe Biden went to take a deficit of 1.9 trillion because of what Akuffo Addo said", Yaw Buaben Asamoa.
