
Many Ghanaians were expecting government to reveal if the country would go back to IMF. On Good Evening Ghana, the Minister of Information has finally revealed the cat out of the bag.
He explained that government would go to IMF if the home grown strategies fail. He explained that the government is not afraid of being mocked at by the NDC and hinted that they can use that alternative.
Even though Paul Adom responded that the NDC would laugh at them, he explained that government must first analyse all current revenue streams both direct and indirect taxes to take such decisions.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah also mentioned that government has spent a lot during the covid era and did not slash salaries of public servants. The Minister also mentioned that the executive has cut down on their salaries aside other sacrifices to enable the economy improve.
