One of the many catch phrases when it comes to the ruling National Patriotic Party is, ‘we have the men’. This was one of the phrases used prior to the 2016 elections and also during the many appointments that the party made when it finally came to power. Happenings in the country haven’t proved this catch phrase though with the opposition National Democratic Congress hitting hard at the government’s ineptitude using their own catch phrase.
In a statement released yesterday and signed by General Secretary, Frimpong Kodua, Richard Ahiagbah was appointed Director of Communications of the party. He is to be assisted by 6 other members. One notable name among the deputies is Ernest Owusu Bempah. This comes as a surprise to many Ghanaians who are wondering if there were no others to be considered but Owusu Bempah.
In a series of comments, Ghanaians are asking where the men the NPP touted are. Ernest Owusu was the former Communications Director of the National Democratic Party founded by Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings. Some feel it was thus not surprising that Nana Konadu was found dancing with Akufo-Addo during a recent ceremony. Check out the reactions to this latest appointment.
