Incipiently, Afia Pokuah posted on her Facebook page that the Minister of Energy, has notified Ghanaians that they should expect more power outages in the next few months.
She wrote that,
“Expect more dumsor-Energy minister. Demands Dumsor schedule from ECG & GRIDCO”
However, a Facebook user, Richard Dokurugu, accused Afia Pokuah of campaigning for the current government after she refused to vote.
“What schedule are u requesting for when u are part of the whole problem. You don't vote but u campaigned for this tyranny leadership to win power, so please just keep quiet”, he said.
Nonetheless, Afia Pokuah responded that,
“Richard Dokurugu shieeeeee! Ignorance no good. So you couldn't understand that it is the minister talking? You need Jesus wai”
Moreover, Richard Dokurugu blamed Afia Pokuah for biased commentary she made against Ex-President John Dramani Mahama's administration.
He wrote that
“During JM regime wasn't she in the country and when did she ever gave any reports on the power crises and related to the ECG and the rest, she used to put it on JM and never reported about what the then ministers said.”
Afia Pokuah responded to his unsubstantiated claims that,
“Hwe ne John! You have exposed your ignorance. You won't keep quiet. You want to insult a noble man”.
The social media banter occurred on Facebook, dated April 8, 2021.
