Organised Labour Defends the Four Percent Increment with These Reasons in This Full Disclosure

The Organised Labour Union that comprises of some major groups in Ghana and the Trade Union Cooperation which is also part of the Union has released a press statement to make public sector workers understand the basis of the four percent increase.

Teachers, Nurses, Doctors and other public sector workers are against the four percent increase for 2021 and seven percent increase for 2022.

It can be recalled that debate has broken up on supposed salaries that are to be paid to the spouses of the presidents as ARTICLE 71 office holders.

Public sector workers that are intellectuals have read meaning into this to mean that there is money to be paid, just not to them.

Organised Labour tries to explain that the reason for which they accepted the four percent increase is to avoid redundancy in the working sector.

They promise that the government would continue with development activities besides providing vaccination to workers all over the country.
