The 2020 election results was declared by the Electoral Commission which was in favor of the New Patriotic Party led by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo being their second term in office. However, the New Patriotic Party thought the election results will be a walkover but it didn't happen in that way as the president faced off stiff challenge from the biggest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress led by John Dramani Mahama as both polled over 6 million votes.
Few days after the declaration of the election results by the Electoral Commission, the president elect left the country to Ivory Coast, Guinea and UK for a reason which was not known to many Ghanaians. Informations reaching us show that the president of the Republic on the December 20, 2020 evening will address the nation in his 20th update since the outbreak of this pandemic (Corona Virus) in the country.
As the president addresses the nation tonight, some Ghanaians have poured out their massive expectations on the official Facebook page of the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo. In some hours to the president nation's address, over 1000 had commented on his Facebook page. Many Ghanaians mentioned what they were expecting. From the comments on his Facebook page, some Ghanaians wanted more freebies next year whiles others want him to extend tax waiver for health workers to serve as incentives to fight against Covid-19. Others wanted a partial lockdown to deter unnecessary demonstrations in the country.
