I Haven't Heard A Single New Thing - Nana Aba Anamoah Reacts To Akufo-Addo's Speech On The Economy

A lot of emotions have been built up whiles waiting for the President of Ghana to speak on the economy of the country. The emotions have been a mixture of hope and disappointment in one. Ghanaians were expecting to hear solutions that will resonate with them. But as things stand now, it looks as if President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has let them down.

The general manager of GHOne TV station, Nana Aba Anamoah has wasted no time speaking on the Presidents address to the nation. According to her, what the President said was nothing new at all. It is all 'vibes'. The same old things which have been hammered upon are what the President keeps on saying. She posted on Twitter just minutes after the Presidents speech. The tweet read "I haven't heard a single new thing." Read the tweet below.

The President's speech centered around inflation and the economy being where it is as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war. These are things the ordinary Ghanaian keeps on hearing day in and out. So to her and many others, the President's speech had nothing new to offer. Just the same old 'fellow Ghanains' and 'vibes'.

Ghanaians on Twitter who listened to the Presidents speech also commented on Nana Aba Anamoah's post sharing their frustrations and confirming what she is saying. Some citizens had already tuned their minds to accepting that the President was not going to say anything new so they weren't even hopeful. Some also pointed out that the President should come up with new policies that have a real impact on the lives of people. Read more comments below.
