A good deed done deserves to be applauded- but is sad when a Prophet has no reputation in his village. On the December, 2016, Ghanaians went to the polls to select their leaders. In the presidential election, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo emerges victorious with over 52% of the votes cast. In his short term as president, Akufo Addo has implemented Free SHS and most importantly has ended the devastating dumsor that led to the collapse of many companies in the country. Speaking on his casual forums, PLO Lumumba, one of the finest advocates of African development congratulated Akufo Addo for ending dumsor.
In his speech, he made mention of some great leaders who have graced the political field. He made mention of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba and some African leaders who championed African Unity. PLO Lumumba in his speech acknowledged the importance of leadership as he compared Africa to the development of China. In his speech, he gave a very fascinating remark, he stirred the audience by applauding President Akufo Addo. He said “ I am glad, I am glad Akufo Addo” has eliminated dumsor.
