According to the #Fixthecountry convener, Oliver Baker Vormawor highlighted that most of the youth who advocated for a better Ghana when the country went to HIPC in 2001 is now almost 60 years and will soon retire but their utmost plea was never met considering how they were promised that, the support from IMF will help revive the country’s economy.
With respect to this, Oliver Baker Vormawor revealed that the same issue is currently happening under the Akufo Addo government as Ghana seeks to receive its 18th financial support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which undoubtedly causes more harm t good to the country in terms of high debt rate hence, he’s worried the current generation will experience the same problems.
