[Video] I Will Be The One To Present The Budget Next Week - Ken Ofori-Atta

Ghana's Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, says he expects to be the one to present the 2023 budget in Parliament next week.

His response came after a Joy News Parliamentary correspondent asked if he is to present the 2023 budget in Parliament next week.

"Yes. Expect so. That seems to be a weird question." Ken Ofori-Atta said.

When asked what he will do about the NPP MPs who do not consent to him reading the budget, Ken Ofori-Attah answered that he has not officially heard that other NPP MPs do not want him to read the budget next week.

When asked how he feels about the hearing, he said it is democracy in play, and he seeks fairness and is also confident in how the process will go.

It can be recalled that the NPP MPs threatened to boycott the budget reading if the President did not relieve the Finance Minister of his post.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, 25 October, the Majority MPs stated that they were displeased with the management of the economy under Ken Ofori-Atta.

They signed a petition to the President asking him to sack the Finance Minister.
