Executive secretary of this Coalition Azubila's response to the President refund of salary increment

As a Coalition that officially Petition the President over the bias 79% increment of article 71 Office holders salary for 2021 and that of 4% for civil servants, we believe the president action for refunding his money and action his appointees to do same voluntarily has actually compounded the issue. 

If the president think Controller and Accountant General defies his directives and went ahead to increase salaries of article 71 Office holders this year contrary to what directive issued May 2021, then the President should sanction the Controller and Accountant General boss.

2. The directives should not be a suggestion or optional to his appointees a lone but a complete cancelation of the article 71 Office holders salary increment for 2021 and next year 2022.

Right now there is no legal backing and no one can be punished for refusing to refund that money except the fear of loosing job by his direct appointees.

President Nana Addo should come again and cancel the article 71 Office holders salary increment for 2021 entirely so that anyone who refused to refund can be prosecuted.

 We can not relent in the fight to adjust our 4% salary increment because article 71 Office holders do not pay tax but we pay, they do not buy fuel, pay electricity/water bills, do not take transport, do not rent or fill the hardship we go through. If they decide to not to increase their salaries they will be very okay but we can not survive with this 4% Against over the current high cost of living.
